Episode 013 – Religion in Pop Culture

1
I like it!

In this episode we talk about how religion has been presented and portrayed in pop culture media like movies and TV series.

Here’s some show notes:
- In what ways are religions either superficially represented, romanticized, or mis-represented?
- Is the “presence” of religion in pop culture, or the “use” of religion in pop culture representative of pop culture’s desire to understand or promote religion, or is it actually a way of making religion “safer” by making it entertaining.

- Is popular religious films another example of violence entertaining us?
