Also, the guy kind of looks like he could be Zac’s brother.
I do like how this quote highlights the central tension in discussions around miracles, namely, that we can only interpret events named “miraculous” from out of our own time and place in history. Currently us “moderns” believe that we are in a privileged place within which we can “understand” miracles like healing to simply be either psychosomatic episodes that had physical repercussions or else fairy tales. Yet what is often unthinkable to moderns is the possibility that there is a power or transcendance beyond that which our science can discern. This is not to say that science is therefore useless or not VITAL to the process of understanding miraculous phenomena, but rather to say that it is yet another lens.
